01Overview

A mobile app for reviewing cryptocurrency prices, market news, and supporting asset information without moving between separate services.

What we made, why it mattered, and how it came together.

Crypto Tool brings cryptocurrency prices, charts, market details, and news into one mobile app.

We designed the interface for two different moments: quickly scanning the market and slowing down to review one asset.

Scannable

Market list

Prices and movement follow a stable layout that is easy to compare.

Focused

Asset page

The selected asset gets more room for its chart and key details.

Flexible

Time ranges

People can review movement over different periods.

Connected

News

Related reading stays close without crowding the price data.

02The challenge

Market screens can show a lot of data without making any of it clear.

People need to compare several assets quickly, then inspect the chart and details for one of them.

The small screen had to support both without making every number look equally important.

What we had to balance

01

Quick scanning and deeper research

02

Current movement and longer history

03

Dense data and comfortable touch targets

04

A dark theme and strong contrast

Our approach

Design for a quick glance and a closer look.

The market list uses repeated rows and aligned values for comparison. The asset page changes pace, giving the price and chart more space before showing the supporting details.

Time controls and consistent movement labels help people change context without learning a new layout.

  • Align values that are compared
  • Make the selected asset clear
  • Use words and signs with color
  • Keep time controls easy to reach
01

04Product structure

How the different parts work together.

Each feature supports the wider experience instead of standing on its own.

01

Market list

Repeated rows make prices and movement easier to compare.

  • Asset
  • Price
  • Change
  • Alignment
02

Asset detail

The selected currency, price, and chart receive clear priority.

  • Name
  • Price
  • Chart
  • Current change

Time controls

Simple options change the chart without hiding the active period.

  • Periods
  • Selected state
  • Chart update
  • Labels
04

Market news

News cards use a different rhythm so articles do not look like price data.

  • Headline
  • Source
  • Time

Key decisions

What we chose and why.

01

Align comparable values

DecisionKeep prices and changes on stable columns.

ReasonPeople can spot differences without rereading each row.

02

Show the active period

DecisionUse shape, text, and contrast for the selected chart range.

ReasonA chart is hard to understand when the time range is unclear.

03

Do not rely on color

DecisionPair positive and negative colors with signs and numbers.

ReasonMovement should remain clear for everyone.

05Design craft

How the details support the experience.

01

Numbers

Values line up where comparison matters

Alignment and consistent formatting make changing prices easier to scan.

  • Aligned figures
  • Clear units
  • Visible signs
  • Stable spacing
02

Dark interface

Depth without losing clarity

Layered surfaces and limited accent colors keep the hierarchy readable.

  • Distinct surfaces
  • Strong text
  • Limited accent
  • Clear controls
03

Charts

A chart with enough context

Time range, current value, direction, and supporting details sit close to the line.

  • Time label
  • Selected range
  • Readable axes
  • Numeric values

  • No return promises
  • Clear periods
  • Movement labels
  • Readable data
07Outcome

A market app that stays readable as the information grows.
